Privacy Policy

When you give

When you give, we keep a short record of the donation:

• its reference, which starts with ALW-
• the order and payment numbers Razorpay gives it
• the amount
• whether the payment went through, and when

We do not keep your name, email or phone number. The record on its own does not say who gave.

Paying through Razorpay

The payment window that opens when you give belongs to Razorpay. What you type there is collected and kept by Razorpay, under Razorpay’s own privacy policy (opens in a new tab). We never see your card details.

We can see each payment in our Razorpay account. We look at it only to keep the trust’s accounts and to send refunds.

Counting visits

We count visits to this website with Umami, a free, open-source tool that runs on the trust’s own server. When you open a page, it notes:

• which page you opened
• the website that sent you here, if any
• your browser, operating system, type of device and screen size
• your language, and the country and city your internet connection comes from

It sets no cookies and does not keep your IP address. We see totals, such as how many people read the Projects page this week, never who they were.

When you write or call

If you email or phone us, we keep your message only as long as we need to answer it. Ask, and we will delete it.

Who else handles it

• Razorpay takes the payment.
• Supabase stores the donation record.
• Oracle Cloud runs this website and its visit counts, on servers in India.

What we don’t do

This website sets no cookies of its own. No advertising or tracking company sees your visit. Its fonts come from this website, not from another company. Razorpay’s code loads only when you press Donate.

How long we keep it

Donation records are part of the trust’s accounts, so we keep them. They do not name anyone.

Visit counts are kept to see how the website is used over time. They do not name anyone either.
